Workers prepare a bridge screed for finishing concrete on the new VA Cutoff Bridge in Hartford Village, Vt., on Tuesday, May 21, 2024 ahead of a concrete placement on Wednesday. Resident engineer Jay Strong of the Vermont Agency of Transportation said a second placement of concrete is planned for the following Wednesday and he anticipates the bridge to be complete in late this fall.
