CORNISH — Voters elected Hillary Ackerman to a three-year term on the Cornish School Board at the school’s annual meeting on Saturday.
In voice votes, approximately 100 voters also approved a $4.6 million general operating budget and a three-year collective bargaining agreement with the Cornish Education Association that is expected to result in a $70,000 increase in the first year. They also voted to raise and appropriate $50,000 for the Special Education/Tuition Expendable Trust Fund.
The school board tabled a $500,000 bond for a roof replacement and voters also decided not to move forward on that item.
Janet Lord won a contested race to be the supervisor of the checklist for two years. She defeated David Haseman and Pierrette Hull.
