LEBANON — A one-out double from Owen Taylor in the bottom of the seventh inning plated Zack Howland with the game-winning run in Lebanon Post 22’s 4-3 defeat of Concord Post 21 in a New Hampshire American Legion District A senior baseball contest on Sunday at Lebanon High School.

The hit completed a comeback from a 3-1 deficit for Lebanon (3-5), which dropped a season-opening 14-9 decision to Concord (2-3) earlier this month.

Casey Graham popped out to first base to open the seventh for Post 22. Howland followed with a first-pitch single and raced home when Taylor drove a 1-0 pitch into the outfield for the winning two-base hit.

Leadoff hitter Wes Stocken got Lebanon started by reaching base on an error and scoring in the home first. Concord tied the game in the second and went ahead with a two-run top of the third.

Pinch hitter Josh Bucci walked and scored in the home fourth to bring Post 22 to within 3-2. Trevor Pierce tied the game in the sixth thanks to a Concord error, eventually stealing third base and scoring on Hayden Chandler’s sacrifice bunt.

Post 22 returns to action at home on Tuesday night, hosting Keene Post 4.
